How long can an employer keep my name in the voice mail system after I have left the company?

I was in sales of high dollar new homes. I left 6 weeks ago and my past employer has not removed my name from the voice mail system. Some customers have called leaving a message not knowing I have left, and expected a return call from me. Some prospects

the old employer probably kept your voice mailbox in hopes that other personnel there could snag sales from anyone who calls in and leaves a message. I don't see that it places you in a bad light because a customer who doesn't hear back from you would

Austin school board voice mail communications not made public

The Austin school district's practice of using a voice mail call-in system to communicate certain information with school board members violates the spirit, if not the state law, governing open meetings, public information advocates say.

That the district does not retain those voice mails for public inspection is also problematic, and possibly illegal, they say.

The American-Statesman recently made a request under the Texas Public Information Act seeking a message that Superintendent Meria Carstarphen left for trustees.

District officials said that the district maintains no records responsive to the request. They did not disclose what the message contained.

"The Superintendent uses voice mails to the Board on rare occasions as a courtesy to give them notice on time sensitive matters that are to become public soon thereafter," the response said. "These communications are one-way in nature and serve only to provide advance notice to members of the Board of Trustees."

I deem that the voice mail system should concede more occasion to reputation the greetings. Some immigrants and I'm one of them have a threatening accent and extremity more beat to say it in English distinctly.
